Choose between a physical gift card or eGift Card and select your preferred value ($50 or $100). 

Gift

Physical gift cards will be sent straight to your recipient’s nominated address – or to your address first, if you’d like to include a handwritten note. eGift cards will be sent directly to the recipient’s inbox.

Dine Out

Your recipient will need to activate their card at home, and can then use the card at almost any restaurant, cafe or bar around the country.

Taken Care Of

All they’ll need to do is present their Broadsheet Gift Card at the end of their meal to have the nominated value deducted from the final bill.

USING THE CARD
Where can I use my Broadsheet Gift Card?

The Broadsheet Gift Card can be used at more than 10,000 restaurants, bars and cafes across Australia, including Broadsheet’s favourites found here.

The card will work at venues with a restaurant, cafe or bar category code.

Does my gift card need to be activated?

Yes, it will need to be activated before use at www.activate.gift. Once activated, your card will be ready for use within 24 hours.

How do I use my physical card?

Present your card at the time of payment to have the amount deducted from your bill.

Select savings at the Eftpos terminal and enter the four-digit PIN on the back of your card.

You can check your balance anytime at the Check Balance section on our website.

How do I use my digital card?

Add your card to your mobile wallet and tap & pay using Apple Pay or Android Pay.

You can check your balance anytime in the TCN app.

Do I need to spend it all in one transaction?

No, any remaining balance after your first transaction can be used at another venue for as long as the card is valid. The card is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

How long do I have to use my card?

Your card is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. If the date is not written on the back of the card, please check your expiry date on our website or the TCN app.

Are there any other fees?

We do not charge any fees. However, some merchants may charge you for using the card. Such fees may be deducted from the balance of your card at the time of the transaction.

If there are funds still left on my gift card, can I have this in cash?

No, gift cards are not redeemable for cash.

Do I receive change on a gift card transaction?

No. But the card can be used until the balance reaches a nil value. Minimum transaction amounts may apply.

Are there any restrictions on when I can use my card?

No, you can choose where and when to spend your card.

Can I add more money to the value of my card?

No, the gift card cannot be reloaded.

I placed an order and it was declined. What do I do now?

We take security very seriously, and a major part of that is ensuring that orders are placed by the legitimate cardholder.

If your order is declined during the checkout process, it means we were unable to verify your purchase.

We recommend placing your
order again, completing all required details to match the cardholder’s information. We will then reassess your order.

What happens if I changed my mind or have made a duplicate order?

Please ensure to check your order prior to submitting it. Exchanges or refunds will not be issued for change of mind or duplication of an order. For more information, please refer to the full terms and conditions on our website.

ISSUES WITH CARD
I went to a venue that wasn’t aware of the Broadsheet Gift Card.

Team members at venues may not be aware of the card. This card runs on Eftpos (physical) and Mastercard (digital) and will work on all registered card terminals, so proceed to use the card as any other Eftpos/Mastercard. Please note, the gift card is still subject to individual merchant acceptance.

What if my gift card is not accepted for payment?

Your gift card may not be accepted for the following reasons:

• The balance you have nominated is not available. You can check your card balance on the Check Card Balance section of our website.
• Your gift card has expired. Gift cards have a 36-month expiry, which can be calculated 36 months from the date of issue, and/when you check your balance.
• The venue’s individual merchant does not accept the Broadsheet Gift Card.
